Our specific need was for an upgrade to our existing kitchen to make it more focussed on the needs of people who are in what is now popularly termed the “later living” stage of their lives. We were also anxious to minimise undue turmoil. Countryside delivered on both counts.
The quality of the design process – the attentiveness in listening to, and responding to, our wishes and, in particular, the care and patience in incorporating specific tweaks which we wanted – was first rate, as was the build quality of the actual units. The tradesmen on site were unfailingly helpful, careful and meticulous. But what stood out for us was the diligence with which Countryside oversaw the whole project, adapting the installation programme to ensure that we were never left totally bereft of kitchen facilities, letting us know in advance the detailed sequence of events/timescales/dates/which tradesmen would be coming and when, and keeping us fully briefed at all stages on the process.
We have survived the installation process and we have a kitchen with which we are delighted.

We had a new kitchen designed, fabricated and installed by Countryside Kitchens. Their design team worked closely with us to produce our dream kitchen. Their attention to detail in the installation of our kitchen was exemplary.
Complete new kitchen (units, lighting, sink, redecoration) replacing elderly one we inherited when we moved house. We paid a small amount extra to have the whole project managed by Countryside Kitchens and Interiors as it included replacement boiler, new cooker, fridge/freezer and flooring, provided by other traders. Very pleased with the whole process from design and advice to workmanship and final result. Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful!
We had Countryside Kitchens design and build for us an entirely new kitchen. They worked with us to determine work that could fit our budget, and we ultimately decided to go with the “dry fit” option where we made the space ready for installation. They recommended appliances, floor fitters, and building timelines, they truly helped us through the process. They were helpful, professional, and communicative.
We have just had our kitchen redesigned and installed by Countryside Kitchens. Our initial meeting with Shona and Suzie was in our home and Shona listened carefully to our requests and ‘must haves’ and suggested some things we hadn’t considered. She came up with an innovative design that immediately appealed to use and we were confident that this was our chosen company to go with.
She and Suzie went over the detailed specifications and Suzie was always available for advice. Shona and Suzie arranged for us to meet in our house with the various tradesmen who would be working on our kitchen and this was an excellent starting point. Titch project managed our job from start to finish, as well as building our cabinets, and he was outstanding for his professionalism.
The quality of the cabinetry is superb – thank you to Elliot and the team in the workshop. Also many thanks to Nichola who was always available for email enquiries regarding the work and anything we needed to follow up with.

We are delighted with our new kitchen. The smart storage is a revelation, we seem to have more space to put things, but fewer cupboards on the walls, so the space is much lighter and brighter. A very clever design and such beautifully made cabinets!
The great thing about Countryside Kitchens & Interiors is that everything is bespoke, so we were able to get exactly what we wanted, and keep the Georgian feel along with practical solutions. So we have a Georgian-style mantel around the Aga, with built-in cupboards.
“The flow of the kitchen is so much better now. We’ve arranged it so that we can have five of us round the breakfast bar, and the children love to sit and have some squash and chat while I’m cooking, so it’s a very sociable place.”
We all got involved, and Shona was brilliant. She talked us through a typical meal, asking us to imagine cooking and what we had to do in the kitchen. This helped us to clarify how we use the kitchen, and decide what we needed.”
Gavin spent a lot of time getting everything just so and was great at talking us through details such as positions of handles etc. Shona and Susie were a great help with their thoughts on colour and tiles etc when we were in danger of losing confidence in our ability to make the right choices. The custom made drawer insert is marvellous – thanks Elliot.
