“Out With The Old and
In With The New”
The Kitchen is the beating heart of many more occasions rather than just breakfast lunch and dinner. At Countryside we believe that the busiest room in the house must be as hard working as the family that calls it their heart of the home.
After supplying and installing over 3000 home projects in the last 40 years we certainly know how to organise a new interior project. This our guide from start to finish for a new project.
As soon as an enquiry comes in either by submitting an online form, phone call or email we always try and get back to you within 24hrs. Shona, our designer gives you a ring to discuss your brief and arrange a meeting for us to discus your new project and take measurements.
Fact Finding and Site Survey
Once we have a meeting in place Shona and Elliot will arrive to discuss your new ideas. Elliot being the practical side of the company takes all the relevant measurements and discusses the trades side of things. We can do as little with trades through to fully project managed building projects. Shona discusses what you want from your new furniture and understand how you want to use it. We then arrange another meeting for you to see designs and go through costings.
Design Creation and Quotation
Once we come away knowing your brief and sizes we then turn that into a design. Elliot puts the design on our kitchen CAD software which gives you a realistic veiw of your proposed kitchen. We also give you ideas for interior finishes and go through the full project details. We then give you a written proposal which details everything we have talked about in your fact finding meeting. It is now time for you ‘mull’ things over. We don’t pressure sale and drive bargains on the day.
The next step in the process is what we call our final choices meeting. This can be done in one meeting or 10 meetings. We take things as slowly as you like. The longer you have to make the important decisions the more enjoyable experience it is. We discuss all details regarding your new project and take notes so nothing is forgotten about. Whether it be tiles for your splash back or finish on your taps, this is all discussed at these meetings. We make things as clear as possible so there is no shock when it comes to installing your kitchen. We then go away and order your furniture and all associated items. We then create our contract letter which details everything we have discussed and quoted for.
Project Management and Installation
All our project management is managed in house. Once the contract is confirmed we give our clients a log in to our client portal. Here they can see important documents regarding their project down to daily logs left by our site manager Glen. Elliot and Shona wil also make regualar visits onto site to make sure the job is progressing as planned. When managing a large contract all our trades are given bespoke annotated lists and plans they are to complete on site. We also set specific time scales for our tradesmen to complete jobs within. We also keep regular contact with yourself as the project progress’ and keep you updated.
Once a job is complete it is now time for the sign off. Shona and Elliot will arrange a meeting to meet you in your wonderful new Countryside Kitchen and make sure you are happy. This is where we give you all information on guarantees and appropriate numbers if there are ever any problems with appliances.
