Country Cottage Handmade Kitchen
Large Family Kitchen
Creating your dream kitchen is a rare opportunity to tailor everything to suit your family. In this new build, where the family includes six children and they do lots of entertaining, the kitchen took centre stage as the heart of the house with the whole building being designed around it.
Morningside Villa Conversion
This traditional villa conversion required us to remove the wall to create a seamless kitchen/dining/living space with an easy flow between the newly created areas. An informal breakfast bar in the kitchen itself leads onto a dining area and then to the living area beyond. Along with the kitchen itself, we undertook all the building work to create the new open plan space. Being a one stop shop in control of the process makes the whole installation easier and more practical for the client.
Edinburgh New Town
Classic Family Kitchen
Countryside Kitchens & Interiors came up with a design that completely reversed the kitchen to give access through French doors onto the garden and patio, with the main sink now also facing the lovely garden view. “The flow of the kitchen is so much better now. We’ve arranged it so that we can have five of us round the breakfast bar, and the children love to sit and have some squash and chat while I’m cooking, so it’s a very sociable place.”
A Mansion House Kitchen
“The great thing about Countryside Kitchens & Interiors is that everything is bespoke, so we were able to get exactly what we wanted and keep the Georgian feel along with practical solutions. So we have a Georgian-style mantel around the Aga, with built-in cupboards. I also found some ideas in magazines, including a special bread bin and knife rack which were specially created to fit the space.”
Classic Family Kitchen
Creating your dream kitchen is a rare opportunity to tailor everything to suit your family. In this new build, where the family includes six children and they do lots of entertaining, the kitchen took centre stage as the heart of the house with the whole building being designed around it. With a fabulous view of the Borders countryside, the orientation takes full advantage of this with south-facing French doors leading onto the patio. It was important for the space to feel very open, with plenty of space for socialising. “We’ve had Christmas parties with 150 people, and this is really the hub of our house.”
